Me Me Me X Disco Deviant

We are more than happy to announce the next Disco Deviant event as a Me Me Me label showcase with Man Power and Elliot Adamson on October 21st at Patterns Brighton. On his first Brighton appearance since last year\'s party with Pablo Contraband and Nick the Record, Man Power\'s track record as a musician and DJ is marked by success after success, with releases and remixes on Hivern Discs, Correspondant, Throne of Blood, Futureboogie, and his own Me Me Me imprint, and a recent double-track EP on Optimo Trax where his experiments with texture and groove form the basis for a set of hypnotic, dancefloor-ready heaters. His recent all-day label anniversary party in his hometown of Newcastle saw him perform alongside Horse Meat Disco and Jackie House (Honey Soundsystem), with a special b2b with Patrick Topping planned for later this year. He is joined on this occasion by his label\'s youngest and strongest talent, Elliot Adamson. Adamson\'s meteoric yet well-deserved rise is owed to his undeniable talent as a producer, creating functional, powerful club tracks that work to engage the dancefloor. His recent EP release on Me Me Me got the attention of heads around the world, and his touring schedule this month saw him perform at DC-10, Parklife, and Eastern Electrics, as well as a debut in Room 1 at Fabric, where he showcased his unique mix of house, techno, breakbeat, and leftfield club tracks as part of a three hour set. The latter part of this summer tour will be taking him from Mint Warehouse Leeds and Eastern Electrics to Croatia. Expect an incredible night of house, disco, techno, and everything in between from our guests, alongside Disco Deviant head and resident Pablo Contraband. More information (including ticket info) coming soon via Disco Deviant.

The Horrors At The Bierkeller

THE HORRORS Bristol Bierkeller Wed 25th Oct Tickets 17.50adv from 0117 9299008 ***ON SALE FRI 30th JUNE*** 14+ show (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult) www.thehorrors.co.uk THE HORRORS RELEASE THEIR FIFTH STUDIO ALBUM V ON SEPTEMBER 22 THROUGH WOLFTONE/CAROLINE INTERNATIONAL THE TEN TRACK ALBUM, PRODUCED BY PAUL EPWORTH, WILL BE FOLLOWED BY A FULL UK TOUR IN OCTOBER The Horrors release their stunningly assertive fifth album V on September 22. The album has been previewed by the first single Machine which sees the group at their majestic, imperial best, although the ten tracks on the album are so diverse that when the final song and future single Something To Remember Me By appears to channel dance, trance and 80s pop genres it feels like both the most natural thing in the musical world and also the most surprising. V shows the group at the peak of their powers, exhibiting a freedom and sense of exploration that feels truly liberating. It is a risk, says Faris Badwan discussing the bands bold refusal to stand still. But life isnt much fun without risk. Its the antithesis of being creative if you know what youre going to be doing every time. Keyboardist Tom Cowan continues: Its natural, if you do see yourself as an artist, to progress and not play it safe. Bowie pre-empted the modern condition of not being able to stay in one place for very long, and I get frustrated with bands who stay still. Because then it does become a career. The album artwork comes from talented VFX artist and director Erik Ferguson, who is known for his abstract and intriguing creative vision. V was recorded in London with producer Paul Epworth, who has worked with FKA Twigs, Lorde, Rihanna, Adele, London Grammar, Florence and the Machine, Coldplay, U2 and Paul McCartney, amongst many others. The album comprises: HOLOGRAM PRESS ENTER TO EXIT MACHINE GHOST TWO WAY MIRROR WEIGHED DOWN WORLD BELOW GATHERING ITS A GOOD LIFE SOMETHING TO REMEMBER ME BY The Horrors have recently supported Depeche Mode on tour. The group will play a small show at Londons Omeara on July 11, followed by the Latitude Festival on July 14, a UK festival exclusive for the band The Horrors will tour the UK in October; tickets on sale Friday June 30. When we started, explains bassist Rhys Webb, we had a very clear idea of what we wanted to do, which was to make as furious a noise as possible, a fast and violent racket. But even though we started with this punky garage sound there was always this real spirit of wanting to experiment and explore. V is the sound of a band making undoubtedly the most expansive and progressive music of their careers.
